As a response many activists among the Armenia Diaspora communities have pushed for formal recognition of the Armenian Genocide from various governments around the world.
21 countries and 42 US states have adopted resolutions acknowledging the Armenian Genocide as a bona fide historical event.
Those who say forget about it, its in the past, are wrong. Unless crimes like this are faced up to and compensated for, they will be committed again and again by people who do not fear prosecution or justice. No more ignorance No more denial.
